Electrical Engineer - Substation

Responsible for the execution, supervision, and coordination of electrical works for HV/EHV substation projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

• Supervise and coordinate electrical installation activities for HV/EHV substations.

• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

• Oversee the installation of power transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, CTs, VTs, busbars, and other substation equipment.

• Coordinate cable laying, termination, earthing, lighting, and auxiliary power system installations.

• Ensure proper execution of electrical works in accordance with approved drawings and project specifications.

• Coordinate with civil, protection and control, testing and commissioning, and project teams.

• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues during installation.

• Monitor project progress and prepare daily and periodic progress reports.

• Ensure compliance with IEC standards, quality procedures, approved method statements, and HSE requirements.

• Support testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

• 3–7 years of experience in electrical substation projects.

• Experience in HV/EHV substations and electrical equipment installation.

• Knowledge of power transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, CTs, VTs, busbars, and earthing systems.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.

• Familiarity with IEC standards, quality control, and HSE procedures.

• Experience in EPC, power transmission, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
