The Mechanical Design & R&D Engineer is responsible for leading mechanical design, development, and validation of innovative products from concept to production. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-performance, reliable, and cost-effective products that meet market needs, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, with a strong focus on thermal management, mechanical reliability, and LED lighting products.
المسؤوليات
- Design and model mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor).
- Good Knowledge using analysis software for thermal simulation, Stress-Strain Simulation( Ansys,Nastran..etc).
- Excellent knowledge about thermal management and mechanical reliability of products.
- Excellent knowledge about mechanical development and designing according to market standards.
- Develop and test prototypes to evaluate the performance, functionality, and manufacturability of new product designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, marketing, and manufacturing) to develop innovative product concepts.
- Participate in brainstorming and idea-generation sessions to ensure products meet both market and technical requirements.
- Conduct mechanical design analysis, including stress, strain, thermal, and motion analysis to ensure product performance, safety, and durability.
- Optimize product designs to reduce material costs, weight, and production time while maintaining high quality and functionality.
- Lead or participate in product testing and validation efforts to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality specifications.
- Analyze test data to identify performance issues and recommend design improvements.
- Excellent knowledge about LED lighting products mechanical and electrical testing standards and procedures.
- Use rapid prototyping techniques (such as 3D printing, CNC machining, etc.) to quickly validate and refine designs.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation for production and testing purposes.
- Work closely with electrical, software, and industrial designers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into the overall product.
- Conduct research into new manufacturing methods, materials, and technologies to drive product advancements.
المتطلبات
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechanical production Engineering.
- 2–3 years of experience as R&D Engineer in lighting sector.
- Proven experience in lighting R&D or product development.
- Strong knowledge of LED lighting, drivers, optics, and thermal management.
- Experience with design and simulation tools.
- Familiarity with lighting standards and testing methods.
