Road Engineer

Responsible for supervising and executing all on-site road construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines. Coordinates with technical, planning, and quality teams to deliver high-quality road works within the defined scope and budget.

• Supervise day-to-day site activities related to road works including earthworks, subgrade, base course, asphalt, curbs, and paving.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with the Technical Office and Planning Department to ensure timely availability of drawings, materials, and resources.
• Inspect work progress and quality; raise and resolve any technical or site issues in coordination with the project team.
• Monitor subcontractors’ performance and ensure that works are carried out according to schedule and quality standards.
• Verify quantities and assist in preparing daily and weekly progress reports.
• Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies on site.
• Support the project team in testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Report project progress, potential delays, and corrective actions to the Project Manager.
• Review and ensure proper implementation of quality control procedures and inspection test plans (ITPs).

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience in road and infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of road construction materials, methods, and standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and basic knowledge of Primavera P6 is an advantage.
• Good understanding of project drawings, specifications, and quality procedures.
