Senior Procurement Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to join our team in the construction industry. This position will play a critical role in efficiently managing procurement processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting our project teams with materials and services essential for successful project execution.

- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, lead time, and quality of construction materials and services.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to determine procurement needs and specifications for upcoming projects.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
- Conduct market research to stay informed on trends and pricing, providing insights to support budgeting and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations throughout the procurement process.
- Prepare and maintain procurement documentation including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier records.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior procurement staff on best practices and procurement methodologies.
- Assist in resolving disputes related to contracts and supplier deliverables.
المتطلبات
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management within the construction industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and contract management experience.
- Proficient in procurement software and tools, with a solid understanding of purchase order systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret market data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is preferred.
