External Audit Manager - Saudi Arabia

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven External Audit Manager to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in external auditing, strong technical knowledge of international auditing standards, and a proven ability to lead audit teams and manage multiple client engagements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing audit assignments, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards, maintaining strong client relationships, and delivering high-quality audit services.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and oversee external audit engagements from planning through completion.

• Lead and supervise audit teams, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality audit assignments.

• Review audit working papers, financial statements, and audit reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Ensure adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).

• Identify financial risks, internal control weaknesses, and areas requiring improvement, and provide appropriate recommendations.

• Manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously while ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to audit team members.

• Monitor engagement budgets, resource allocation, and overall audit performance.

• Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, auditing regulations, and relevant industry practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional auditing experience, particularly in external audit.

• Previous experience with a Big 4 or Big 10 accounting or auditing firm is a plus.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, SOCPA, or equivalent is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).

• Proven experience managing audit teams and handling multiple audit engagements.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant audit software.

• Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
