Job Description

The Accommodation Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing and facilitating housing logistics for employees working on construction projects. This position ensures that staff have safe, comfortable, and accessible accommodations while also overseeing compliance with industry regulations and company policies. The Accommodation Coordinator acts as a liaison between contractors, employers, and accommodation providers to optimize living arrangements for workers, particularly in remote locations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate accommodation logistics for employees on construction sites, ensuring timely and efficient housing arrangements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between employees and accommodation providers to address inquiries and resolve issues related to housing.
  • Monitor and manage accommodation budgets, ensuring costs align with company policies and maintaining financial records.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all housing arrangements, conducting regular inspections and liaising with local authorities as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain an up-to-date database of available accommodations, including details on amenities, costs, and suitability for various employee needs.
  • Facilitate communication between management and employees regarding housing policies and any changes to accommodation arrangements.
  • Prepare reports on accommodation utilization and employee satisfaction to provide insights for future planning and improvements.
  • Collaborate with HR, project managers, and site supervisors to anticipate accommodations needs based on project timelines and workforce fluctuations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accommodation coordination, facilities management, or HR services, ideally in the construction or related industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders, including employees, management, and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with accommodation management software and databases.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations related to employee housing, particularly in construction environments.
  • Problem-solving skills with the capacity to handle conflicts and challenges related to accommodation logistics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to tasks.
