Job Description
The House Keeping Area Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all housekeeping operations across our construction sites adhere to strict cleanliness, safety, and organizational standards. This position is responsible for overseeing a team of housekeeping staff, managing schedules, and implementing cleaning protocols to maintain a safe and productive work environment, while also optimizing resource use and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the housekeeping team across multiple construction sites to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures that align with company standards and industry regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to identify cleanliness and safety issues and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Coordinate with site managers to plan housekeeping services that meet the specific needs of each construction project.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to enhance performance and achieve operational goals.
- Manage inventory and procurement of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
- Prepare reports on housekeeping activities, compliance, and staff performance for senior management.
- Investigate and resolve housekeeping-related complaints and issues promptly and efficiently.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in housekeeping management, preferably in the construction industry or facilities services.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety standards in a construction environment.
- Proven experience in managing teams and demonstrating leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with budgeting and resource management related to housekeeping operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and housekeeping management software.
