Job Description
The Landscape Engineer will play a critical role in the design and implementation of sustainable landscape projects, contributing to the aesthetic and environmental quality of urban and rural developments. This position requires a blend of creative and technical skills to develop landscape solutions that meet client needs and regulatory requirements while enhancing ecological functionality.
Responsibilities
- Develop landscape design concepts and technical drawings.
- Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and project managers to integrate landscape elements into construction projects.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate soil, topography, and environmental impact factors.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and sustainability standards.
- Prepare proposals, budgets, and project timelines, and present to stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Advise on plant selection and environmental restoration techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or Landscape Architect (LA) certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in landscape design within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS).
- Strong knowledge of sustainable practices and ecological principles.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
