Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Personnel Specialist to join our dynamic HR team within a leading construction firm. This role is pivotal in ensuring effective HR management practices while supporting our workforce in achieving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of human resource strategies that attract, retain, and engage a diverse talent pool.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment and selection process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and implement employee training programs to enhance workforce skills and career development.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Oversee performance management processes and provide guidance on performance evaluations and employee relations.
  • Collaborate with management to address workforce issues and develop solutions that enhance employee satisfaction and productivity.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations to mitigate compliance risks.
  • Prepare HR metrics and reports for leadership to track engagement levels and inform strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a personnel specialist role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, recruitment practices, and employee relations strategies.
  • Proficient in HR software systems and MS Office Suite; experience with applicant tracking systems is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Professional certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.) is highly desirable.
