Job Description
The Contracts Engineer is responsible for managing, reviewing, and administering project contracts to ensure compliance with legal, commercial, and project requirements. The role involves supporting procurement and project teams throughout the contract lifecycle—from bid evaluation to contract execution, variation management, and close-out.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and agreements in line with company policies and legal requirements.
- Analyze contract terms and identify potential risks, liabilities, and obligations.
- Provide contract advice and support to project and procurement teams.
- Ensure that all contracts are executed in accordance with project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Manage change orders, claims, extensions of time, and dispute resolution processes.
- Coordinate with legal, finance, and project management teams as needed.
- Maintain accurate and organized contract records and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, engineering.
- 1-3 years of experience in business development for EPC, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
- Understanding of the MENA market and key stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
- Strong market research and strategic thinking abilities.
- Negotiation and networking skills.
