BIM Mechanical Technical Office Engineer (Tanks)

Job Description

Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating mechanical technical documentation and BIM models for infrastructure and tank projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, BIM standards, quality requirements, and project timelines.

• Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to ensure compliance with client requirements and applicable standards.

• Prepare and review mechanical shop drawings, as-built drawings, BIM models, and material submittals.

• Coordinate mechanical BIM models with other disciplines to identify and resolve design clashes and technical conflicts.

• Review tank components, connections, piping systems, and mechanical accessories.

• Coordinate with design teams, site engineers, consultants, and clients to resolve technical issues.

• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and technical offers.

• Follow up on material and drawing approvals.

• Prepare and review RFIs, variation orders, and technical progress reports.

• Provide technical support to site teams and ensure proper execution of mechanical works.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality, safety, and environmental standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• 2–5 years of experience in Mechanical Technical Office Engineering.

• Previous experience in tank projects is a MUST.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and tank installations.

• Good understanding of tank components, connections, piping systems, and accessories.

• Knowledge of BIM standards, modeling, and coordination procedures.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and infrastructure networks.

• Familiarity with international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and SMACNA.
