OHTL Engineer

Responsible for engineering support, site execution, and technical coordination of Overhead High Voltage Transmission Line (OHTL) projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable codes and standards, approved drawings, and client requirements.

The role includes coordinating with the project team and subcontractors, monitoring site execution activities, reviewing technical documents and drawings, resolving technical issues arising on site, and ensuring that construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved project requirements.

• Supervise and monitor civil construction activities for OHTL projects.

• Follow up tower foundation works, including excavation, reinforcement, formwork, and concrete works.

• Ensure construction activities are carried out according to approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.

• Coordinate with subcontractors, site teams, and other disciplines to ensure smooth execution.

• Inspect the quality of concrete, reinforcement, anchor bolts, and foundation works.

• Review and verify shop drawings, IFC drawings, and technical documents related to civil works.

• Monitor the progress of site activities and report any delays, technical issues, or deviations.

• Identify and resolve site technical problems in coordination with the engineering and project teams.

• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and site safety procedures.

• Prepare and maintain daily/weekly progress reports, inspection requests, and site documentation.

• Coordinate with the consultant/client for inspections, approvals, and technical matters.

• Ensure that completed works comply with quality standards and project requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

• 7+ years of experience in OHTL transmission line projects.

• Experience with HV/EHV transmission lines is preferred.

• Knowledge of tower structures, conductors, insulators, sag & tension, line routing, and foundations.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and relevant engineering software.

• Experience in mega infrastructure, EPC, or contracting projects is an advantage.
