
Technical Site Procurement Supervisor
Job Description
Responsibilities
- On‑Site Coordination:
- Act as primary procurement contact at the factory.
- Receive and review urgent requisitions from production and maintenance.
- Urgent Procurement:
- Source and procure low‑value, urgent items locally to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies for spot buys.
- Inventory Liaison:
- Coordinate with storekeepers on spare parts availability and reordering.
- Monitor critical spares and flag replenishment needs.
- Communication:
- Relay technical requirements and specifications to central procurement.
- Provide feedback on supplier performance and part quality.
- Expediting:
- Follow up on outstanding orders and provide status updates to requesters.
Requirements
- Academic and Professional Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related.
· Supply chain / Procurement certification is a plus.
- Experience
· 5+ years in procurement or stores, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
· FMCG or manufacturing background required.
- Skills and Competencies
· Knowledge of spare parts and industrial supplies.
· Strong communication and problem‑solving.
· Good technical knowledge of industrial equipment and spare parts.
· Negotiation, problem‑solving, and teamwork.
· Good in ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
· High ethical standards and commitment to compliance.
· Ability to work under pressure and manage time-sensitive effectively.
· Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation.
