Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Section Head to oversee our quality assurance activities within our construction projects. This role will ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations, leading a team to maintain high-quality performance across all site activities and deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality management plans and procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the quality assurance team to perform rigorous inspections and audits of construction processes and materials.
- Collaborate with project management teams to integrate quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote quality awareness among all staff and stakeholders involved in the construction process.
- Review and approve all quality-related documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities regarding quality issues and audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality control/assurance roles within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction standards (ISO 9001, ASTM, etc.) and quality assessment techniques.
- Proven experience in leading quality teams and implementing quality management systems.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess processes and suggest improvements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to handle relationships with stakeholders.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CQI, CQA) are a plus.
