Senior Commercial -QS Engineer - (Site Based)

Hassan Allam Construction is seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Quantity Surveyor (QS) Engineer to join our dynamic team, a leading player in the construction industry. This site-based role is crucial for ensuring the effective management of commercial aspects on our construction projects, promoting cost efficiency, and maximizing profitability while maintaining project timelines and quality standards.

Location: Ras EL-Hekma

• Prepare and manage accurate project estimates, budgets, and financial forecasting.
• Carry out cost analysis for project works, including materials and labor costs.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures to ensure adherence to budget.
• Prepare and submit interim and final payment applications and variations to clients.
• Conduct risk assessments and manage commercial risks associated with construction projects.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting on project financial performance and forecasts.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to optimize project outcomes.
• Review and assess claims, disputes, and contractual variations effectively.
• Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors and assist in their professional development.

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of contract law, procurement practices, and risk management.
• Proficient in using QS software tools and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with clients and subcontractors.
• Experience in managing and mentoring junior staff is highly advantageous.
