Job Description
The Inventory Controller is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels through effective monitoring, control, and reporting processes. This role oversees stock counts, reconciliations, and discrepancy management while coordinating closely with procurement to support efficient order processing and inbound verification. The position maintains precise inventory records, prepares analytical reports to support forecasting and decision-making, and identifies slow-moving or at-risk stock. Additionally, the role ensures full compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations, implementing robust stock control procedures to minimize loss, damage, and operational risk.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain current inventory levels, ensuring stock is within set parameters.
- Perform regular stock counts and reconciliations.
- Manage inventory discrepancies, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Order Processing:
- Coordinate with procurement for stock reviews.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
- Data Management:
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the inventory management system.
- Prepare reports on stock status (levels, slow-moving items, potential shortages).
- Analyze inventory data to forecast needs.

- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
- Experience:
- 0–2 years in Inventory / Stock Control, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
