Procurement Coordinator (Assets)

Job Description
Ensure the completion of all projects on time, within budget and meet high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate procurement activities by supporting project teams with required resources, equipment, and information.
- Assist in monitoring project progress and report any procurement-related issues to the line manager.
- Ensure all procurement documents and files are maintained and updated according to company procedures.
- Follow up on project schedules related to purchasing and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Review basic supplies, services, and work orders to ensure they meet company guidelines before processing.
- Support the Project Manager in vendor selection, evaluation, and performance follow-up.
- Coordinate with internal departments to collect purchasing requests and specifications.
- Conduct simple market checks to identify pricing trends and support cost-effective procurement decisions.
- Handle the procurement cycle (PR, PO, quotations, follow-ups) in coordination with relevant departments.
- Provide regular updates to the line manager regarding procurement status, deliveries, and potential delays.
- Assist in collecting monthly utilities consumption from stores and support in preparing basic cost summaries.
- Support in financial tracking related to procurement, including preparing purchase orders and capex forms.
- Check invoices for accuracy before submitting them to Finance for payment processing.
- Communicate purchase progress with stakeholders and follow up on pending items.
- Assist in preparing and distributing meeting minutes related to procurement when needed.
- Maintain positive relations with suppliers to ensure smooth communication and service continuity.
- Ensure all required procurement documentation (contracts, agreements, and quotations) is properly filed and updated.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years’ experience in any field.
- Excellent English.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office.
