Senior Shipping Agency Operator

We are seeking a Senior Shipping Agency Operator with hands-on experience in shipping agency operations, vessel calls, and port coordination. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating vessel port calls, managing shipping documentation, liaising with port authorities, shipping lines, vessel owners, customs clearance agents, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth vessel and cargo operations.

• Coordinate vessel calls from arrival through cargo operations until departure.
• Liaise with Port Authorities, shipping lines, vessel owners/charterers, customs clearance agents, terminals, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare, review, and process shipping documentation, including:
• Cargo Manifests
• Bills of Lading
• Delivery Orders
• Berthing documentation
• Import and export documentation
• Submit and follow up on documentation through Nafeza, Port Authority systems, or other maritime platforms as required.
• Monitor vessel schedules and ensure timely execution of all operational activities.
• Coordinate cargo release and maintain close communication with customs clearance agents and clients.
• Ensure compliance with port regulations, customs requirements, and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate operational records and prepare reports related to vessel and cargo activities.
• Communicate proactively with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues and ensure smooth vessel operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Shipping Agency Operations.
• Hands-on experience coordinating vessel calls and port operations.
• Experience dealing with Port Authorities, shipping lines, vessel owners/charterers, customs clearance agents, and clients.
• Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, Cargo Manifests, Delivery Orders, and import/export documentation.
• Familiarity with Nafeza, Port Authority systems, MTS, or similar maritime platforms is an advantage.
• Good understanding of maritime regulations, customs procedures, and shipping agency operations.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple vessel operations simultaneously.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
