The Material Logistics Section Head will oversee and optimize the supply chain and logistics operations within our dynamic construction environment, ensuring timely procurement, storage, and distribution of materials. This pivotal role involves leading a team dedicated to streamlining logistics processes, enhancing efficiency, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to support project timelines and quality standards.

- Develop and implement strategies for logistics planning and material management to meet project requirements.
- Lead and mentor the logistics team, promoting best practices in inventory management and supply chain operations.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure an optimal supply of construction materials while managing costs and quality.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, adjusting orders to minimize waste and ensure timely delivery of materials to sites.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing performance.
- Oversee the transport and storage of materials, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Implement technology solutions for logistics tracking and inventory management to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to anticipate material needs and resolve any logistical challenges.
- Prepare and present reports on logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.
المتطلبات
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management within the construction industry.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of logistics and supply chain professionals.
- Proficient in logistics software and tools; experience with ERP systems is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to manage vendor relationships and team dynamics.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in logistics and material handling.
- Analytical mindset, capable of interpreting data to drive decision-making and process improvements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project demands and priorities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in inventory management.
