Electrical Engineer - OHTL

Responsible for the technical execution, supervision, and coordination of electrical works for Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

• Supervise and coordinate electrical activities related to HV/EHV overhead transmission line projects.

• Review technical drawings, specifications, and design documents for transmission lines.

• Oversee the installation of conductors, insulators, fittings, and associated transmission line components.

• Monitor conductor stringing, sagging, tensioning, and tower electrical assembly activities.

• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, surveying, and construction teams to ensure smooth project execution.

• Ensure compliance with approved method statements, quality procedures, and applicable IEC standards.

• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues during installation and execution.

• Monitor project progress and prepare daily and periodic technical reports.

• Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning activities with clients and consultants.

• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and approved project procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

• 5–7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with relevant experience in OHTL projects.

• Strong knowledge of HV/EHV transmission lines, towers, conductors, insulators, and line fittings.

• Experience in conductor stringing, sagging, tensioning, and transmission line installation.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.

• Knowledge of IEC standards, quality control procedures, and HSE requirements.

• Experience in EPC, power transmission, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
