Senior Contracts Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure projects within the contracting sector. The ideal Engineer who we are looking for will be responsible for administering contracts, managing contractual correspondence, handling claims and variations, and supporting commercial and project teams to ensure contractual compliance throughout project execution at site.
You must have hands-on experience in large-scale infrastructure projects such as roads, utilities, drainage, water networks, sewage systems, and related civil works.

• Administer and manage all contractual aspects of infrastructure projects from award through project close-out.
• Review contract documents, specifications, BOQs, drawings, and identify contractual risks and obligations.
• Prepare, review, and manage: Contractual correspondence, Notices, Claims, Variations / change orders, Extension of Time (EOT) submissions.
• Support project management in resolving contractual and commercial issues.
• Coordinate with client representatives, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments regarding contractual matters.
• Ensure compliance with contract conditions, project procedures, and company policies.
• Maintain proper records of project communications, claims, delays, and contractual events.
• Assist in subcontract administration, including evaluation and monitoring of subcontractor performance.
• Participate in progress meetings and provide contractual advice to site and management teams.
• Support cost control and commercial teams in contractual evaluations and entitlement assessments.
• Prepare periodic contractual and commercial reports for management.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in contracts administration within the contracting sector.
• Proven experience in infrastructure and utility projects.
• Experience working in a site-based project environment.
• Familiarity with planning software and delay analysis methodologies is preferred.
