QC Specialist - Microbiology

Responsible for performing routine microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and laboratory activities to ensure the microbiological quality, safety, and compliance of raw materials, in-process samples, intermediate products, finished products, and utility systems. Ensures adherence to GMP requirements, approved SOPs, data integrity principles, and laboratory safety standards while supporting validation, qualification, investigations, and continuous improvement activities.

• Perform routine microbiological testing of raw materials, intermediates, in-process samples, and finished products.

• Conduct sterility, bioburden, microbial purity, endotoxin, mycoplasma, and bacterial inactivation testing.

• Perform microbiological testing of WFI, Purified Water, compressed air, pure steam, and other utilities.

• Conduct environmental monitoring in classified and controlled areas.

• Prepare microbiological culture media, reagents, buffers, and laboratory solutions.

• Perform growth promotion and sterility testing of culture media.

• Conduct microbial identification using Gram staining, microscopy, biochemical, and serological techniques.

• Perform serological assays, including HA, HI, and ELISA.

• Operate microbiological laboratory equipment and perform routine equipment checks.

• Support microbiological method validation, verification, and qualification activities.

• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and ensure data integrity.

• Report and escalate OOS, OOT, OOL results, deviations, and abnormal findings.

• Maintain laboratory inventory, microbiological reference strains, and proper storage conditions.

• Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, approved SOPs, QHSE, and biosafety requirements.

• Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, or a related discipline.

• 0–2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated microbiology laboratory.

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

• Basic knowledge of microbiology, aseptic techniques, and contamination control.

• Knowledge of GMP, GDP, data integrity, and laboratory safety principles.

• Familiarity with microbiological testing methods and laboratory equipment.

• Basic understanding of environmental monitoring, sterility testing, and culture techniques.

• Good computer skills.
