Job Purpose:
Focusing on the development and maintenance of our Point of Sale (POS) systems. Responsible for designing, building, and optimizing server-side logic to ensure seamless performance, robust security, and a superior user experience for our POS applications.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for POS systems using Python.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the backend infrastructure.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Design and optimize database schemas to support POS applications.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and performance.
• Implement and manage data storage solutions, including relational and NoSQL databases.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to connect the POS frontend with backend services.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs as needed.
• Ensure robust and secure communication between various system components.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive transaction data.
• Ensure backend services comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
• Write and maintain unit tests and integration tests, perform debugging and troubleshooting to resolve issues and optimize backend performance and scalability.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for backend development processes.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the management team on project status and performance.

What We're Looking For: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience.
• Proven experience in backend development using Python.
• Strong knowledge of web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience with POS systems and related technologies is preferred.
• Proficient in database management and design (SQL and NoSQL).
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Knowledge of security best practices and standards.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CICD) pipelines.
• Very Good command written and spoken English Language
