Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our team in the construction industry. In this role, you will be responsible for managing cash transactions, processing payments, and providing excellent service to our clients. Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain an organized and balanced cash register throughout the day.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding products and services, ensuring all questions are answered.
- Prepare and process daily sales reports and cash reconciliations at the end of each shift.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain store cleanliness and visual standards.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly to foster customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed about current promotions and product offerings to provide accurate information to customers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in finance or business preferred.
- Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar role, preferably within the construction or retail industry.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail in cash handling operations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash registers is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
