Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Supervisor to join our growing team within the construction industry. This role will be instrumental in overseeing human resource functions across the organization, ensuring compliance with labor regulations, and promoting a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of HR practices within a large-scale construction environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Manage employee records and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with company goals and construction industry standards.
  • Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge specific to construction practices.
  • Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and performance management.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making and improve overall HR effectiveness.
  • Act as a liaison with external HR vendors and services, including benefits providers and compliance agencies.
  • Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations affecting the construction industry.
  • Lead HR team members and provide guidance and support in HR-related initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations relevant to the construction sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with HR software and applicant tracking systems is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret HR metrics and data.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee engagement.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Professional certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
