Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive HSE Specialist to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. This role is vital in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental practices are adhered to across all our construction sites. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and workers to create a safe working environment and mitigate potential risks.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Provide safety training and orientations for new hires and ongoing training for existing employees.
- Investigate and report on accidents and incidents, providing recommendations for corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and ensure timely reporting and documentation of safety records.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between various teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HSE roles within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental laws relevant to construction.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA 30, or ISO 45001 are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills to effectively convey safety protocols to diverse teams.
- Proficiency in HSE management software and reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
