Job Description
The Security Site Manager is responsible for overseeing all security operations on-site at construction projects. This role involves ensuring the safety and security of personnel, equipment, and materials while collaborating closely with construction management and site workers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in security management, be physically fit, and have excellent communication skills to effectively lead a team of security personnel.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive security plans tailored to each construction site.
- Supervise a team of security personnel, ensuring that they fulfill their duties and responsibilities effectively.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks, providing actionable recommendations.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services to ensure rapid response in case of incidents.
- Train security staff on site-specific protocols and emergency procedures.
- Investigate security breaches or incidents, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of security equipment and request replacements or repairs as needed.
- Monitor and control access to job sites to prevent unauthorized entry or theft.
- Work collaboratively with project managers to integrate security considerations into daily operations and project timelines.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, preferably in the construction or related industry.
- Proven leadership experience supervising security staff or teams.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and risk management practices relevant to construction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact appropriately with diverse personnel.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform active surveillance and on-foot patrols as necessary.
- Ability to work various hours and shifts as needed to ensure 24/7 security coverage.
- A valid security license or certification may be required, along with CPR and First Aid training.
