Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing our procurement processes, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services that align with our project goals. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of supply chain management and procurement strategies specific to the construction sector, driving cost efficiency and quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage procurement strategies to optimize costs and timelines for construction projects.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company policies.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluating their capabilities and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ascertain procurement needs and specifications.
- Monitor inventory levels and facilitate timely reordering to prevent project delays.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and innovation.
- Analyze procurement data and generate reports to identify savings opportunities and track procurement performance.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and quality standards in all procurement activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills with an excellent understanding of procurement processes.
- Proficient in procurement software and tools, with advanced Excel skills as a must.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
