Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Translator to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This position is crucial for facilitating clear communication across our international projects and enhancing collaboration within our diverse workforce. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating and localizing various documents and communications, ensuring accuracy and context alignment.
Responsibilities
- Translate technical documents, reports, and correspondence from English to target languages and vice versa, with a focus on construction terminology.
- Localize marketing materials, project descriptions, and safety guidelines to ensure cultural relevance and compliance with local standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand context and specific requirements for translations.
- Review and proofread translations to maintain high standards of accuracy and quality.
- Assist in the creation of glossaries and translation memories to streamline ongoing translation efforts.
- Provide on-site interpretation services during international meetings, project presentations, and client consultations, as needed.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and at least one additional language relevant to our international operations.
- Proven experience as a translator, ideally in the construction or engineering sectors.
- Strong understanding of construction terminology and project documentation.
- Excellent writing, grammar, and editing skills in both source and target languages.
- Proficient in using translation software and tools, such as CAT tools.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
