Job Description
Supports the procurement function by executing purchasing activities for direct and/or indirect materials in line with company policies. The role focuses on supplier coordination, order processing, cost control, and ensuring timely availability of materials to support operational needs, while gaining hands-on experience in sourcing and supplier management.
Responsibilities
• Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials according to approved specifications and procurement plans.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.
• Coordinate with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, delivery schedules, and order status.
• Follow up on deliveries to ensure materials are received on time and resolve basic supply or delivery issues.
• Support negotiations with suppliers under the guidance of the procurement manager to achieve cost efficiency and service reliability.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation.
• Collaborate with production, quality, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure materials meet required specifications and quantities.
• Assist in market research to identify potential suppliers and monitor price trends.
• Support the preparation of procurement reports and KPIs such as spend tracking and cost savings.
