Electrical Technical Office BIM Engineer

Job Description
The Electrical BIM Engineer is responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) deliverables for infrastructure projects, including roads, utilities, railways, airports, water networks, wastewater systems, power distribution, substations, street lighting, and other public infrastructure works. The role ensures accurate BIM model development, multidisciplinary coordination, clash detection, and compliance with project BIM standards and client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
- Prepare and review shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Perform clash detection and BIM coordination using Navisworks.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, and material schedules from BIM models.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare RFIs, technical submittals, and technical clarifications.
- Coordinate with site and project teams to resolve technical issues and ensure constructability.
- Update BIM models based on design revisions and site changes.
- Ensure deliverables comply with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), project standards, and client requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in Electrical Technical Office and/or BIM.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, power distribution, lighting, and low-current systems.
- Experience in BIM coordination, clash detection, shop drawings, and quantity take-offs.
- Good knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and construction practices.
- Strong technical coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in industrial, infrastructure, or mega contracting projects is preferred.
