Mechanical Procurement Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Procurement Team Leader to lead procurement activities for mechanical works across industrial, infrastructure, and contracting projects. The role is responsible for supplier management, cost optimization, timely delivery, and ensuring materials and equipment meet project requirements.

• Lead and supervise the Mechanical Procurement team, ensuring efficient and timely procurement activities.
• Develop procurement strategies aligned with project requirements, budgets, and schedules.
• Review BOQs, specifications, drawings, and material requirements to identify procurement needs.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors to secure competitive prices and favorable terms.
• Manage the procurement cycle from RFQ and quotation evaluation through negotiation, purchase orders, and delivery.
• Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of supplier offers in coordination with relevant teams.
• Coordinate with Technical, Commercial, Planning, and Project teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance, lead times, quality, and delivery schedules.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance with project specifications.
• Resolve procurement and supply-chain issues and ensure uninterrupted project execution.
• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and strategic vendors.
• Monitor procurement KPIs and provide guidance and support to Procurement Engineers and Buyers.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6–10 years of experience in mechanical procurement within industrial, infrastructure, EPC, or contracting projects.
• Previous experience in a team leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, materials, systems, and subcontracting.
• Strong experience in supplier negotiation, quotation evaluation, cost analysis, and procurement planning.
• Excellent commercial, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience handling mega projects and high-value procurement packages is highly preferred.
