
Ammonia and Industrial Refrigeration & HVAC Engineer
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Technical Support:
- Analyze refrigeration system performance and recommend improvements.
- Support troubleshooting of complex control and mechanical issues.
- Preventive Maintenance:
- Develop and optimize PM procedures for compressors, condensers, and evaporators.
- Coordinate with the CMMS planner for scheduling.
- Energy Projects:
- Lead projects to reduce refrigeration energy consumption (e.g., VSD retrofits, floating head pressure).
- Monitor and report on specific energy consumption.
- Documentation:
Maintain P&IDs, equipment specifications, and operating procedures for refrigeration systems.
Requirements
- Academic and Professional Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Refrigeration Engineering.
- Experience
· 3+ years of experience in refrigeration engineering.
· Experience in food processing plants, preferably frozen foods / potato processing / FMCG
· Hands-on experience with boilers and industrial refrigeration systems
- Skills and Competencies
· Proficiency in refrigeration load calculations.
· Knowledge of PLC controls for refrigeration.
· Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration safety (preferred)
· Energy management and troubleshooting skills
· Familiarity with CMMS systems
· Good communication and team coordination skills
· Ability to work in shifts if required
