We are seeking a skilled Materials Engineer specializing in Architecture and Civil Engineering to join our dynamic team at a leading construction firm. They will collaborate with architects and construction teams to deliver innovative and efficient material solutions, contributing to the successful completion of high-profile projects.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and select construction materials based on performance, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with design teams to integrate materials into architectural and civil structures.
- Conduct materials testing and assessment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance during the material sourcing and procurement process.
- Analyze project specifications to identify material requirements and constraints.
- Develop and implement innovative material solutions that meet project objectives while adhering to environmental guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Materials Engineer in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of materials used in construction, including concrete, metals, polymers, and composites.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as ASTM, ISO, and ASCE.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
