Payroll Specialist

Job Description
To ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll while maintaining compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and internal controls. The Payroll Specialist supports payroll operations, validates employee data, and collaborates with HR, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure payroll accuracy and employee satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll accurately and within the agreed payroll timeline.
- Review and validate payroll inputs, including new hires, resignations, promotions, transfers, salary adjustments, overtime, leave, deductions, and other variable payments.
- Ensure payroll calculations comply with company policies and applicable labor and tax regulations.
- Prepare payroll reports and reconciliation for Finance and management.
- Process employee final settlements, end-of-service benefits, and related payments in accordance with company policies and labor laws.
- Verify deductions, including taxes and social insurance, and ensure timely reporting and compliance.
- Coordinate with HR, Personnel, Compensation & Benefits, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure payroll data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll-related inquiries.
- Maintain payroll records, supporting documents, and audit trails in accordance with internal control requirements.
- Support payroll audits by providing the required reports and documentation.
- Prepare payroll-related reports, KPIs, and ad hoc analyses as requested by management.
- Ensure payroll confidentiality by safeguarding employee information and payroll data.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and system efficiency.
- Support payroll system testing, enhancements, and implementation of new payroll processes when required.
- Perform any other payroll-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, or HR Operations.
- Good command of English (written and spoken).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, ERP Systems (SAP/Oracle preferred), Microsoft Office.
