Senior Draftsman

Job Purpose

Responsible for preparing highly accurate and fully coordinated MEP shop drawings and BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. Works closely with engineers, team leaders, and the coordination team to ensure drawings meet project specifications, codes, QA/QC standards, and consultant requirements.

• Prepare detailed MEP shop drawings (Electrical, ELV, light current).
• Develop full 3D BIM MEP models using Revit MEP.
• Create coordinated models with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines
• Perform model updates based on engineers’ comments, design changes, and RFIs.
• Export models to Navisworks Manage for clash detection.
• Coordinate with the BIM/Technical Coordination team for clash resolution.
• Prepare Navisworks viewpoints, clash snapshots, and coordination reports.
• Prepare:
• Shop drawings
• Sections & details
• Builders work drawings
• As-built drawings
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and authority requirements.
• Maintain proper filing, naming conventions, and version control of drawings and BIM models.

• Advanced AutoCAD (2D & 3D).
• Advanced Revit MEP modeling for Mechanical or Electrical or both.
• Good experience with Navisworks Manage for clash detection.
• Ability to generate detailed sections, layouts, and coordination drawings.
• Familiarity with MEP systems (HVAC, FF, Plumbing, Electrical, ELV).
• Strong technical understanding of project drawings and specifications.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and drafting standards.

Qualifications.

• 7+ years' experience as MEP Draftsman in contracting companies.
• Strong background in BIM-based projects.
