Job Description

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join Hudl ’s People Operations team in Egypt. The role will manage the full payroll cycle for 1,400+ employees and will report directly to the People Operations &Total Rewards Supervisor. The ideal candidate will combine strong payroll execution, knowledge of Egyptian tax and Social Insurance regulations, advanced Excel skills, and a strong interest in HR analytics, reporting, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

· Manage the full monthly payroll cycle from preparation and validation of inputs through final processing and payment files. · Prepare and validate monthly payroll inputs received from different departments and stakeholders. · Review and process payroll variables including overtime, deductions, allowances, bonuses, unpaid leave, loans, advances, and installment deductions. · Calculate and process Egyptian income tax and Social Insurance in line with applicable regulations. · Prepare and review bank transfer files and coordinate salary transfers. · Calculate final settlements and end-of-service payments in coordination with Personnel team. · Process salary adjustments, promotions, and other compensation changes accurately and on time. · Calculate and process retroactive salary adjustments and back pay when required. · Process off-cycle payments and emergency payroll adjustments when needed. · Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve salary discrepancies in a timely and professional manner. · Maintain accurate payroll records and historical payroll data. · Ensure consistency of payroll data across payroll records, HRIS, and Finance records. · Coordinate with Finance regarding payroll funding, salary transfers, and payroll-related reconciliations. · Prepare month-over-month payroll variance analysis and investigate significant movements. · Prepare payroll-related management reports and support monthly payroll reporting and data analysis. · Support HR dashboards and payroll-related analytics and reporting initiatives. · Support salary benchmarking and market analysis activities. · Support bonus calculations, annual salary reviews, and annual manpower/payroll budgeting. · Support payroll cost analysis and payroll budget reporting when required. · Support payroll audits and provide required payroll documentation. · Prepare periodic compliance reports related to payroll, tax, and Social Insurance. · Monitor changes in payroll-related tax and Social Insurance regulations and support required process updates. Drive payroll process improvements and support payroll automation initiatives.

Requirements

· 2–5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years of direct payroll experience. · Strong practical knowledge of Egyptian payroll practices, income tax, and Social Insurance regulations. · Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including strong formulas, PivotTables, data validation, and payroll data analysis. · Strong HR analytics and reporting skills. · Experience with payroll or HRIS systems is preferred. · High-volume payroll experience is preferred. · Very good command of English. · Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy. · High level of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee and payroll data. · Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, and problem-solving skills. · Strong time management and ability to meet strict payroll deadlines. · Bachelor’s degree required; field of study is not a key selection criterion.
