Project Planning Engineer

The project engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects within the organization, ensuring they are completed on time within scope and budget. 

• Project Scheduling & Monitoring: Develop, update, and track project schedules, ensuring deadlines, budgets, quality, and safety standards are met.
• Scope & Critical Path Management: Understand project scope, identify interdependencies, critical items, and potential risks early on.
• Estimation & Alternatives: Seek accurate time/cost estimates, plan contingencies, and propose alternatives for efficiency.
• Coordination & Communication: Involve all stakeholders in planning and monitoring, ensure smooth collaboration, and maintain proper documentation.
• Problem-Solving & Corrective Actions: Anticipate challenges, take early corrective measures, and provide immediate solutions without compromising quality or safety.
• Resource & Effort Optimization: Balance workloads, look for efficiency improvements, and manage resources effectively.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare clear schedules, visuals, and project documents, while regularly reporting progress to management.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum of 3 years related experience
• Proficient with Primavera and familiar with the technology used in planning projects
• Ability to read and understand mechanical plans
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD), with a strong understanding of engineering principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for predicted and unexpected problems
