Job Description
The Corporate Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our financial operations within the Arts, Entertainment & Sports industry. This individual will oversee the accuracy of financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support our strategic financial goals. The position requires a detail-oriented professional capable of interpreting complex financial data while providing comprehensive insights to management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies while maintaining detail-oriented documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support strategic planning initiatives.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for operational improvement.
- Participate in month-end closing processes and ensure timely reporting of financial results.
- Support the Controller and other stakeholders with ad-hoc financial projects and reporting as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the Arts, Entertainment & Sports industry.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles (GAAP).
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and present findings effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively across various departments.
