Senior Financial Planner & Analyst

The Senior FP&A Analyst supports financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across the supermarket chain. The role focuses on data-driven insights at store and category level, helping management make fast, informed commercial and operational decisions.

1. Budgeting & Forecasting Support • Assist in preparing annual budgets and rolling forecasts • Build and maintain financial models for sales, margins, and expenses •Track actual performance vs budget and highlight variances 2. Sales & Margin Analysis • Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales trends • Monitor: 1.Like-for-like (LFL) sales 2.Basket size & transactions 3.Gross margin by category (fresh, grocery, non-food, etc.) 4.Identify drivers behind performance fluctuations 3.Store-Level Performance Tracking • Support analysis of store profitability • Track KPIs such as: 1.Sales per square meter 2.Labor cost ratios 3.Store contribution margin 4.Highlight underperforming stores and key issues 4. Promotions & Pricing Analysis              •  Evaluate effectiveness of: 1.Promotions and discounts 2.Pricing strategies 3.Support commercial teams with margin impact analysis 4.Track ROI on campaigns 5.Inventory & Working Capital Analysis              •  Monitor: 1.Inventory turnover 2.Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO) 3.Shrinkage / waste 4.Support stock optimization and reduction of slow-moving items 6.Reporting & Dashboards • Prepare weekly/monthly reports and dashboards • Automate reporting where possible • Provide clear variance analysis with actionable insights 7. Business Partnering • Work closely with: 1.Store operations teams 2.Buying & merchandising 3.Supply chain 4.Commercial Team 5.Supporting Functions              • Provide financial insights to support decision-making 8. Ad-hoc Analysis              • Support financial evaluation of: 1.New store openings 2.Promotions and campaigns 3.Cost-saving initiatives Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis
